Albus Dumbledore Actor Michael Gambon Dies

Sir Michael Gamon took over the role of Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts, after Richard Harris, who previously portrayed the role, died! We have lost Gamon, an actor who brought mischief and so much diversity to the part!

At 82, Gamon suffered from pneumonia, leading to his hospital admission. He is survived by his wife Anne and his son Fergus, who were at his bedside at the hospital during his death!

The publicist of Gamon stated through a statement about his loss and highlighted his relationship with his son and wife! He also requested that people respect their privacy and mourn peacefully.

Born in Ireland, Gamon was first hired by Laurence Olivier for the production of Hamlet in the National Theater. With his stage acting, he has won many awards. In Britain, he became a big name, especially after he landed a role in the BBC series The Singing Detective in 1986.

The great actor earned his knighthood in 1998 for his services to Drama. The British Empire has appointed the actor the  Commander of the Order.

In the third film, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Sir Michael Gamon joined the cast and was personally selected by the director Alfonso Cuaron to replace Harris! Gamon brought a different perception of the role, especially from how Rowling wrote him on paper.

Gamon has always clarified that he followed the script and did the films for money; hence, he never needed to read the books! The portrayal earned him love, a huge fan following, and a lot of money!

Rupert Grint has paid tribute to the legend in a post on Instagram by stating, “So sad to hear about Michael. He brought so much warmth and mischief to every day on set..”

It is one of the saddest news in the Harry Potter World and fans are quite saddened with this news!
