Less is More

If you can get around your rooms easily then it won’t take you as long to clean the surfaces of your furniture and even the floor. To make cleaning easy prepare by having a big decluttering session of your home. Get rid of those things you don’t need and find a space in your house for those things you want to keep, try to keep on top of putting things away, this will make it easier to clean a room as you won’t have to stop and tidy up as well.

Make a Rota

Doing a smaller clean of your house often will make it easier to keep it clean and avoid the need for one large major clean. Make a rota; there are some jobs you don’t need to tackle every day. Give everyone in the house a task that they need to do; everyone helps to make the house untidy it is only right that they all help to clean it up.

Easy to Clean Surfaces

Surfaces that just need a quick wipe down can really help to cut down on your cleaning time. Ceramic Floor Tiles in your kitchen can really make a huge difference to your cleaning routine. Get into the habit of giving them a quick sweep with a soft brush every day to remove any crumbs and then use a solution of hot water and mild detergent once a week, or more often if your floor gets very dirty, to give it a good clean with a mop.

Never Leave a Room Empty-Handed

If you are going upstairs then take things with you that belong upstairs, and the same if you are coming down. When you leave a room take anything with you that belongs where in the room you are going to, this makes cleaning much easier and saves you a huge amount of time, instead of rushing around you can minimize the time you spend dashing about.

Prioritize

Some rooms need more cleaning than others; these are your high traffic rooms, the kitchen, the living room, and the bathroom. Prioritize cleaning these rooms and do them regularly to keep on top of the cleaning, you shouldn’t need to do the other rooms in your home as often so don’t. Be good to yourself, you don’t need to clean every room in your house every day.
