Every April month of the year is selected as Filipino Food Month. In the local language, it is named Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino, by Presidential Proclamation No. 469, signed in 2018. What Is Filipino Food Month?

This is a national event aimed at appreciating, preserving, promoting, and ensuring the transmission of the rich Filipino culinary food traditions to future generations, as well as supporting various types of industries, farmers, and other agricultural communities.

The Philippine Culinary Heritage Movement of (PCHM) Philippine culinary heritage, the department of tourism, and the Department of Agriculture are leading the Filipino Food Month, or Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino, this year.

1. Series Of Events That Will Be Showcased

2. Opening Ceremony To Not Be Missed Out

The inaugural ceremony was held at the famous theatre and broadcast on April 1, 2022 (Friday, 3 PM) on the lead agencies’ online pages.

Officials from numerous local and central government entities, the corporate sector, and the media attended the event. Messages of support for the celebration were delivered by the heads of the major agencies. Moreover, you can find performances of Sindaw Philippines, Sindaw Philippines, Lara Maigue, Arman Ferrer, and other popular people.
