Europa Clipper will launch on October 10, 2024, and it takes six years to reach Jupiter’s Moon. The main goal of this mission is to know if there is any surface below Europa that could be life-supportive.
NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) has launched “Message in a Bottle,” a campaign where the space agency has invited people and asked them to submit their names. It will travel to Jupiter’s moon, “Europa,” along with a dedicated poem towards the Europa Clipper mission.
Based on the information from NASA, the poem and names will be like a message in a bottle that can travel billions of miles. The main intention of the mission is to investigate whether the ocean thought could lie beyond Europa’s icy crust and if it could support life.
How do I send your name? The last date for sending your names is December 31, 2023. Names would be received before 11:59 P.M. EST, December 31, 2023. The names will be designed in a stencil art form onto the microchip with the poem that U.S. poet Laureate Ada Limon wrote. The title of this poem is “In Praise of Mystery: A Poem for Europa.”
To get the poem, people must sign in to the site with their names. Even the site allows participants to make and download customizable souvenirs. This illustrates your name on the bottle’s message against Jupiter and Europa’s rendering. Europa Clipper is planning to launch from the center of the world-famous Space Coast, Cape Canaveral, Florida, and it will travel 2.6 billion Kilometers (1.8 billion miles) to reach the Jupiter system. Based on the information from NASA, Europa Clipper will arrive in the year 2030 in a press release.
