The Bihar Combined Engineering Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has announced that from this year admissions to engineering colleges in Bihar will be done based on the candidate’s score in JEE Main 2019. The Bihar State Government also agrees with the notification released by the examination board. After the announcement of JEE Main 2019 result Paper I, BCECEB will organize the seat allotment through BCECE 2019 Counselling.
The Bihar Examination Board had earlier announced that it will conduct BCECE 2019 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for admission in engineering courses in Bihar Engineering institutes. But, this year, candidates who have appeared or will be appearing for JEE Main are eligible to participate in the BCECE Counselling 2019 directly to get admission to engineering institutes in Bihar.
With the sudden change in the admission process of BCECE 2019, students who were planning to seek admission to engineering institutes in Bihar are in complete confusion. Most of the students appear for various entrance examinations to increase their chances of admission. But now, candidates need to appear for JEE Main 2019 to get admission to the institutes of Bihar.
It is believed that both NTA and BCECE will take a decision which will be for the betterment of students who are aspiring for admission to engineering institutes in Bihar this year. However, any sort of decision regarding this must be taken as soon as possible, so that students seeking admission to engineering institutes in Bihar can plan their future steps according to that.
As we all know that from this year, NTA will be conducting the top national level examinations such as JEE Main, UGC NET, NEET etc. JEE Main January session has been commenced and is going on. The April session of JEE Main 2019 will be held from April 6 to April 20, 2019.
Important Points to Note Regarding BCECE 2019 Cancelled Notification:
- BCECE Counselling 2019 will be conducted based on the candidate’s performance in JEE Main 2019.
- Candidates are required to fill BCECE application form 2019 in order to register themselves for BCECE Counselling and seat allotment.
- To get admission to engineering courses in the colleges located in Bihar, candidate’s name must be there in the JEE Main Merit List 2019.
What To Do If You Missed JEE Main 2019 January Session?
Well, if you missed JEE Main 2019 January Session, there is one more chance for those students who didn’t apply or appeared in JEE Main 2019 January session. Such students can apply for JEE Main 2019 April Session. The application forms for JEE Main April session will be released in February 2019.

Level of Competition Has Increased:
Candidates who wanted to appear only in BCECE 2019 which is a state level entrance examination will now have to appear for JEE Main 2019 which is a national level entrance examination. Everyone knows that there is heavy competition among students in JEE Main examination.

Candidates who are appearing for JEE Main 2019 are not needed toappear in another entrance examination for taking admission to colleges in Bihar.
