WhatsApp, a platform from Meta, keeps getting new features added. Now that you can edit sent messages on WhatsApp on Android and iOS devices within 15 minutes, Mark Zuckerberg has announced this feature. This is one of the most often requested features, and it is now accessible to WhatsApp users everywhere.
The Meta CEO took to Facebook on Monday, to share the news of this new feature.
On the official blog page of Meta, the announce read as follows:
“For the moments when you make a mistake or simply change your mind, you can now edit your sent messages on WhatsApp.”
“From correcting a simple misspelling to adding extra context to a message, we’re excited to bring you more control over your chats. All you need to do is long-press on a sent message and choose Edit from the menu for up to 15 minutes after”
it added.
Here is how you can edit the messages on WhatsApp:
- Long press the message that you want to edit.
- From the three dots that are located at the top, select the “Edit” option.
- Type the message that you want to rectify.
- Hit send or press enter.
That is all. Your newly edited messages will now be delivered to the individual or group. However, ensure that you edit your message within fifteen minutes of sending them. That is the deadline that you need to follow!
