Morning Prayer

You get up from your bed, take a quick shower, grab a bite if you find the time and get going. Life can be hectic, we all get it. But, this kind of morning routine is anything but good. You have no time to focus on anything, let alone connect with your spiritual self. And, let’s face it, losing touch with your inner world and getting distanced from God can cost you some peace of mind.

That is why I believe it is of utmost importance to start off with a daily morning prayer that will not take too much time but really means a lot. Make a plan and incorporate this into your morning routine. It will give you the time you need to recognize all those things you should be thankful for, as well as realize what needs to be changed and improved in your life.

Whether you usually pray all alone or with your family, mornings will give you the peace necessary to completely devote yourself to this. So, when you wake up the next day, take your Bible, find a quiet place, and connect with God. Everybody needs their moments of refreshment and this is a great way to charge your batteries and get ready for the day.

No More Excuses

There is always enough time to do this, so that cannot be an excuse. The most important thing you need to ask yourself is if you really want to do this or not. Everything depends on your will to devote some time to the Creator and yourself.

And when you decide to do it, the peace you will feel will be enough to make you continue every day for the rest of your life. In fact, it will become your favorite time of the day. Praying in the morning is a great choice, and not only because Jesus did it himself.

Why it is important to pray? Read this.

But, the fact that Jesus did do it like this also speaks volumes. So, think about it and decide whether it might be the right thing for you. Below, I will offer some of the reasons why morning prayers are good for you. I hope these reasons will help you finally understand the importance of spending some time alone with your thoughts and with God.

Prayer

Insight And Inspiration

Other than saying your blessings and thanking God for all the good that He has brought into your life, morning prayers can offer you a significant insight into your own self. This is the time to be completely honest since you are all alone with the Almighty. Nobody will judge or criticize you. But, you will gain some useful knowledge about your inner nature and make sure to understand your qualities, as well as discover and better everything that can be bettered within you. After all, working on ourselves is the ultimate goal.

In addition to that, you can experience moments of pure inspiration while you are reading the Scripture and communicating with God. There might be some problems in your life that need to be taken care of, but you cannot seem to figure out how to properly deal with them. The best ideas come to mind exactly at that time of peace and quiet, when you are doing nothing else but connecting to God.

Strength

Is physical strength the most important strength? Even though it does serve people good, physical strength is far less important than the spiritual one. Often, our spirit may be under attack from the Devil himself, without us even knowing it. Those are the times when we find ourselves lost and hopeless, thinking that there is no way out of a situation we are in, or believing that our lives are not satisfactory.

Morning prayers are like your very own spiritual training. See here. They ensure that you never lack the strength to deal with anything that comes your way. Furthermore, by doing this regularly, you gain wisdom and energy necessary to fight off the enemy’s ploys and schemes and direct our lives towards the Christ – seek His help and acknowledge getting it.

Motivation And Optimism

What do you feel when you finish your prayers? You get a sense of relief, combined with energy and hope. You feel that everything is going the right way in your life and that you have the strength to be even better and accomplish all your goals and aims.

So, why not feel that way immediately after getting up from your bed and before facing any challenges of the day? That is exactly what morning prayers will give you – the dose of optimism and motivation you need to get through the day and really believe in your abilities. And, believing is the first step towards achieving.
