Psilocybin is a hallucinogenic chemical that is found in specific mushrooms from the genus Psiloybe. It is known to be beneficial for the treatment of individuals who are suffering from Cancer or are experiencing major depression in cancer treatment. There are significant depressive symptoms that can be treated with therapy.

At the end of the trial, it was observed that depressive symptoms decreased significantly! Two articles have also been published by Wiley, which are based on how Cancer-based depression can be treated efficiently with psilocybin.

The chemical psilocybin helps significantly as it is bound with specific sub types, such as serotonin receptors in the brain. Perception, cognition, and mood are all improved considerably with this chemical. It does not have any specific medical use. However, there is no guarantee that people will not abuse it.

Even the US Food and Drug Administration for Clinical Use has prohibited the chemical because of the high probability of its misuse. It is also important for the overall welfare of the people who are suffering from depression while also having Cancer.

There are trained therapists to guide cancer patients, similar to those who teach young teens in Bluefire Wilderness Therapy. The conditions through which these patients have a substance use disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and anxiety are guided well along with the chemically induced treatment.

There are different batches of participants involved who have Cancer and are going through major depression. Other therapy sessions across institutions have different dosages of the chemical psilocybin that are monitored. For example, in Sunstone Therapies Rockville, Maryland, 30 participants are given a 25 mg dose of synthesized psilocybin, a group therapy, and a therapist in a 1:1 session.
