Global brand head for Just Cause Anne-Lou Grosbois-Favreau stated that work on the mobile action game has finally come to an end in a statement to VGC. “It is with great sadness that we are announcing the end of development for Just Cause Mobile,” she stated. The game will no longer be available on digital stores as of tomorrow, 3 July 2023.
Before, Just Cause Mobile was playable in early access. However, the game has now been taken down from Google Play. The awaited game was scheduled to launch later this year.
According to Grosbois-Favreau, “it is never easy to put forth an announcement of this nature, especially to our fans who have been waiting for the release.”
At The Game Awards, Just Cause: Mobile was announced along with another Hitman game in the year 2021. It was once advertised as a free-to-play Just Cause universe action shooter. It offered single-player, four-player co-op, and 30-person competition modes.
Just Cause Mobile, a free-to-play top-down action shooter with single-player and multiplayer options, was unveiled at The Game Awards 2020.
Unfortunately, Just Cause: Mobile ran across a number of issues, particularly with regard to its launch. Square Enix was only able to release the smartphone game in Singapore as regional early access after numerous delays and a 2021 release window promise.
