Installing a pool is a big investment, and once installed there is no going back on the design and the style you have chosen. It is because if you do decide to change it in the future it will lead to high expenses.

When it comes to building a pool, there are several options that you can explore. There are the standard pools which are present in a number of homes. There are also prefabricated pools that you simply get and install in your space. If you want your pool and house to be different and stand apart, a good option would be to get in touch with a custom pool company.

Therefore it is necessary to educate yourself on the different swimming pool types, styles, and designs of pools you can build in your home.

Indoor and Outdoor

The title is pretty straightforward; this refers to either having your pool indoors or outdoors. There are many benefits that come with having your pool indoors; the main one being privacy; it allows you to have your own little space and allows you to relax without being bothered by the surroundings. And an indoor pool does not take much to maintain healthy water, where as an outdoors pool constantly needs to be cleaned.

Having said that if you are an outdoor bird, then having an outdoor pool will be ideal for you. It will allow you to relax and enjoy the fresh air. Allowing you to be benefitted well during the summer as you can sunbathe by the pool and have many pool parties or even fun barbecues.

Above Ground Pools

An above ground pool tends to be much smaller than in-ground pools, but apart from that, they come with many advantages, the top most advantage being the cost. Above ground, pools are very cost effective and do not require much maintenance. One of the key benefits is safety since they are above ground pools; the risk of a child or a pet falling in is much less.

Architectural Pool

If you are a well known architect or if you hired an architect to build your home as well, then you are most likely to build this type pool. Chances are that people who custom built their home would use an architect to come up with the design before building the pool as well. An architectural pool is often sophisticated and adheres to the overall theme of the house.

Infinity Pool

This provides the illusion that the pool merges with the surrounding landscape; this is most commonly done next to the sea or at a high location. These types of pools are always custom made as it is designed to highlight a certain view. This is definitely more expensive than normal residential swimming pools.

A Lap Pool

A lap pool is a pool that is built in houses that are into keeping fit. Lap pools are usually very long and narrow, which gives you just the right amount of space to get a good stroke going without having to do many turns; hence why they are most commonly used for fitness and health purposes, or even for national level swimmers.

If you look through all these different types of pools, you should be able to find one that is most suitable to your liking. But before investing on it, be sure to do proper research and debate on the pros and cons as making the proper decision will highly benefit you in the long run.
