Bedroom

A lot of people see the bedroom as a place where they can get away with a mess.  Since your guests only see the main areas of your home like the dining and living room, you probably worry less about the places they won’t see.

However, what a lot of people don’t realize is that a cluttered bedroom can affect you in more ways than you think.  It’s a space where you rest, so it should feel inviting and calm.  If it’s cluttered and chaotic, it’s going to affect how you begin and end your day.

5 Organizational Tips For Your Bedroom:

Here are some of the best pro tips for turning your messy bedroom into a zen sleeping space.

Use The Space Under Your Bed:

Space Under Your Bed

The space under your bed makes a fantastic place for storage.  It’s not only easily accessible, but it’s completely hidden!

By using a platform bed instead of a standard one, you’re giving yourself ample space to tuck away things that would otherwise be spread all over the room.

Use Your Walls:

A lot of people put so many things on their dresser and nightstand that there’s no room for anything practical.  Try to be selective about what you put on your surfaces, and opt for putting the rest up high.

Whether it’s artwork or extra items you don’t use on a daily basis, put it on the wall or a shelf out of the way. The minimalist result is much more practical, as well as more pleasing to look at.

Take Everything Out Of Your Closet:

Many people have spotless rooms yet lurking in the closet is a hideous mess.  All it takes is one cough, and everything will come spiraling down and bury you alive.

Instead of closing the closet door and pretending the mess isn’t there, confront it head-on.  Take it all out and get rid of whatever you don’t need.

Chances are the majority of it is things you never even wear.  Why not give old clothing to charity so someone who really needs it can put it to use?

Laundry Hamper:

A lot of people only keep their laundry hamper in the bathroom or in the laundry room.  Unfortunately, as a result, every time that you get undressed in your bedroom your clothes are likely going onto the floor.

Nothing says messy bedroom like dirty clothes on the floor, so do yourself a favor and keep a hamper nearby.

Keep a Garbage Can:

This may seem basic to some people, but you’d be surprised how many people don’t keep a garbage can in their bedroom.  The result? A bunch of junk on every surface and on the floor.  The simple act of keeping a receptacle handy for messes makes a world of difference.

Incredible! This blog looks exactly like my old one! It's on a entirely different topic but it has pretty much the same layout and design. Wonderful choice of colors!
